TRB – Collectible laminated wood Chair

TRB is a handcrafted sculptural chair made from laminated wood, designed and built entirely in Goslo Studio.

Each veneer is carefully selected and arranged by hand, allowing the material itself to shape the gesture and structure of the piece. The process is purely manual—from raw sheet to final curve—honoring the craft of woodworking in its most essential form.

Inspired by the act of sitting close to the ground, TRB celebrates the primal intimacy of gathering at floor level, evoking a sense of tribe and shared presence. This design echoes postures found in Japanese culture, where daily gestures like standing up from the floor are seen as rituals that preserve strength, elasticity and longevity.

The chair translates this philosophy into a Western context, combining anatomical research and ergonomic precision with bold, sculptural presence. The result is a functional object that invites both reflection and use—a quiet piece of functional art rooted in body, form and ritual.
